FAQs

Who can be a member of 100 Companies That Care?

Any for-profit corporation that employs people (no sole proprietors) is qualified to be a member of 100 CTC. The member representing any business within 100 CTC should be the owner, CEO/President, or the most senior officer in the OC area.

What happens if I can't attend one of the meetings?

While attendance is expected for all members, it is inevitable that each member will not be able to attend every meeting. Any member can send someone as a representative for his/her company.

In the event that no one is able to attend the meeting, the quarterly donation will still be given out on behalf of that company.  This means that the member’s vote will not be accounted for at that particular grant, but the funds will still be distributed in accordance with the votes of those members who are in attendance.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

Yes, all donations are tax deductible. Donation receipts will be provided by Global Impact, which is a licensed 501(c)(3).

Why $4,300 for the year?  What is the extra $300 for?

The additional $300 goes towards the management fees and processing fees for the donor-advised fund used for the holding of contributions as well as the distribution of grants. There are also some fees associated with running the quarterly events (basically, breakfast and the venue rental) which are covered with the $300.

How do I pay?

You can have your organization pay via credit card or check. We’ll help you get payments set up when you apply for membership.
