2023 Q3 Impact Awards

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our last event - and a HUGE shoutout to the virtual attendees. I think this was the most people we've had join in virtually before!

In case you missed it... here is the summary:

For those of you who remember our Q2 event, Erik from NEGU shared about the House of Hope, which is a vacation home in La Quinta that they're using to provide a time of restoration and healing for the families affected by pediatric cancer.  It was amazing to see the progress on the home, and I'm so grateful Erik showed the backyard that we were able to sponsor!

Although they didn't win, The Literacy Project shared about the amazing work they are doing in elevating the literacy levels in some of the most illiterate school districts in our community.  And they have a unique opportunity for companies to get involved as a team here in OC.  So if that's something you're interested in, please reach out to Sue Grant.

DSAOC showcased the amazing work they are doing - and I was particularly moved by the amount of joy that their programs were bringing to the lives of the down syndrome community!  It will be exciting to hear from them next quarter, particularly since our support will go to funding some really specific needs for their organization.

For those of you who agreed to test out the Matchr for Ayzar Outreach and/or to explore becoming a partner, you can expect a separate email from me connecting you with the team at Ayzar Outreach and providing both the links to the Matchr and a feedback form.

And last but not least... HUGE thank you to Jennie Hannigan at Alliance Resource group both for agreeing to engage Life College and provide a work placement in their office AND for sharing about the experience.  The thing that was so amazing to hear was how it was so MUTUALLY beneficial for both Life College and Jennie's team.  If that's something you're interested in, we have several organizations that we can connect you with.

And with that... I'm excited to see you all again next quarter for our last event of the year (and hopefully our biggest event yet!!)

Stay awesome,
